A Quiet Place: Day One Gets a New Trailer
Starring Joseph Quinn, Lupita Nyong'o, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou
Coming to theaters on June 28
A new trailer has been released for A Quiet Place: Day One, the upcoming prequel to the hit horror franchise. The film is set in the early days of the alien invasion that wiped out most of humanity in the original film, and follows a group of survivors as they struggle to survive in a world where every sound can attract the deadly creatures.
The trailer opens with a group of people hiding in a barn, trying to stay quiet as the creatures roam outside. They are led by Lee Abbott (Joseph Quinn), a deaf man who has survived by using sign language and his wits. Also in the group are Evelyn Abbott (Lupita Nyong'o), Lee's wife; Regan Abbott (Alex Wolff), Lee and Evelyn's daughter; and Marcus Abbott (Djimon Hounsou), Lee's brother.
The group must find a way to get to safety without making any noise, but the creatures are always lurking. They are forced to make difficult choices and face unimaginable horrors as they try to survive in this new world.
A Quiet Place: Day One is directed by Michael Sarnoski from a screenplay he wrote with John Krasinski, who directed the first two films in the franchise. The film is produced by Krasinski, Platinum Dunes, and Sunday Night Productions.
The film is set to be released in theaters on June 28, 2024.
