The New York Giants have acquired tight end Darren Waller from the Las Vegas Raiders, the team announced Tuesday.

The Raiders will receive a 2023 second-round pick and a 2024 fifth-round pick in return for Waller, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Giants will also send a 2023 sixth-round pick to the Raiders, per the source.

Waller, 29, is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and one of the most productive tight ends in the NFL. He has caught 271 passes for 3,291 yards and 23 touchdowns in 57 career games.

The Raiders drafted Waller in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, and he quickly became one of quarterback Derek Carr's favorite targets. Waller had a breakout season in 2019, catching 90 passes for 1,145 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Giants are hoping that Waller can provide a much-needed boost to their passing attack. The Giants ranked 29th in the NFL in passing yards last season, and they are looking to upgrade their receiving corps around star wide receiver Kenny Golladay.

The Raiders, meanwhile, are rebuilding under new head coach Josh McDaniels. McDaniels has already made several roster moves this offseason, including trading wide receiver Davante Adams to the Green Bay Packers and releasing running back Josh Jacobs.
