DNC Announces 2024 Location
City of Chicago Selected to Host the Upcoming Democratic National Convention
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has announced that the 2024 Democratic National Convention will be held at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The convention is scheduled to take place from August 19th to 22nd.
The United Center is a 20,500-seat multi-purpose arena that is home to the Chicago Bulls basketball team and the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team. The arena is located in the Near West Side neighborhood of Chicago, just a few blocks from the United Center Metra station.
Chicago is a major city with a long history of hosting large events. The city hosted the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition, the 1968 Democratic National Convention, and the 1996 Democratic National Convention.
