Iowa Cubs - Des Moines - Won 9-3
The Iowa Cubs, the Chicago Cubs' Triple-A affiliate, snapped a three-game losing skid Saturday night with a 9-3 victory over the Des Moines Iowa in Iowa.
Iowa jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning and added another run in the second inning.
Right Fielder Zach Davis led the offensive attack with three hits, including a double, and one RBI.
Tennessee Smokies - Sevierville - Lost 1-4
The Tennessee Smokies, the Cubs' Double-A affiliate, lost 4-1 to the Birmingham Barons Saturday night at Smokies Stadium in Sevierville, Tennessee.
The Barons scored three runs in the top of the first inning and added another run in the fourth inning.
Left Fielder Jake Slaughter and Center Fielder Yonathan Perlaza had the lone RBIs for the Smokies.
Myrtle Beach Pelicans - Myrtle Beach - Won 6-3
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Cubs' High-A affiliate, won 6-3 over the Augusta GreenJackets Saturday night at Myrtle Beach.
The Pelicans scored two runs in the top of the first inning and added two more runs in the third inning.
Right Fielder Matt Mervis has two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.
South Bend Cubs - South Bend - Lost 4-10
The South Bend Cubs, the Cubs' Low-A affiliate, lost 10-4 to the Lake County Captains Saturday night at Four Winds Field in South Bend, Indiana.
The Cubs scored one run in the first inning and two runs in the fourth inning.
Third Baseman Liam Spence had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.
